Breskell is a cold molded west system boat.

One kind of boat with a beautiful interior.

She is superb for fast coastal sailing and for “gunkholing” with daggerboard “up” for New England, the San Juan Islands, the Caribbean, Chesapeake Bay, etc.

Full insulation, wood stove, foldable workbench, electric roller furler for jib. 5.4hp bow thruster Lewmar. 6 Solar Panels.

Self-Steering ARIES, electric auto pilot, and wind generator.

A large engine compartment with the controllers of the wind generator and solar panels, and fully rebuilt Perkins 4236 in 2022 (84 hp).

There is a large, foldable workbench in two parts providing space to work.

Behind is the water heater and the wheelhouse with a large chart table, GPS chart plotter, radar, and VHF.

On the starboard, there is a small cabin with a berth and storage cabinet.

The two large freshwater tanks have a total capacity of 1200 liters (300 Gls).

Sleeps six in a cozy, beautiful high-quality interior.

Solid wood, no veneer.

The interior was built by the master shipwright (owner).

The main salon table is solid maple.

Partial telescopes for an extra bunk, “39” X50”, seats 7.

Artist-Painted Ceiling.

Must be seen to appreciate. All cabinets are made of solid wood.

You will find cherry, walnut, maple, cedar, elms, polonia, sapelli, and fir.

The spaces are large, particularly the main saloon/galley as well as the main cabin.

Primary Material: mahogany, constructed with cold molded West System EpoxyFollowing Cyclone Yvan, from 2005 to 2009, The boat's interior is fully insulated with 6cm (2”) thick blue styrofoam panels all bonded with extruded polyurethane foam. The layout is from the back to the front: An aft cabin with toilet and shower.

This aft cabin has a retractable double berth and a bunk.

The toilets/showers have a cabinet with a very beautiful epoxy wood sink.

Then we descend through the pilothouse, past the engine compartment on the right, into a large main salon with a splendid ceiling hand-painted by Corinne.

Then we find the main cabin with a large bed on the starboard side and a large cupboard on the port side with drawers and a dressing table/desk for madame, who can sit on an articulated stool facing a large mirror.

And, finally, a magnificent bathroom with a shower.

On the starboard side, there is a Lavac toilet covered with a teak grating.

On the port side sits a beautiful piece of furniture with an embedded epoxy wooden sink.

Then behind, a 100% waterproof bulkhead is the sail locker and the chain locker with the bow thruster, four batteries, and a tank for black or gray water.

Pilothouse: Large chart table, small cabin with berth/storage cabinet.

Master bedroom: queen berth, dressing table/desk.

Head with shower.

Epoxy/wood sink.

Breskell underwent major transformations including a new keel and a new centerboard in the shape of an airplane wing.

The deck has been completely redone with a layer of 12mm ( ½”) marine plywood followed by a layer of 19mm ( ¾) red cedar and à final layer of a thickness of 6mm (1/4”) marine plywood.

All are covered with a layer of epoxy-fiberglass.

A cabin trunk has been added giving a headroom of 2.15 m ( 7” ).

After the accomplishment of the northwest passage, the boat was put ashore and completely redone, modified, and finished down to the smallest detail, including beautiful works of art such as the “ trompe l'oeil” in the main saloon ceiling and in the main cabin on closet doors made by Corinne, my wife, an artist by trade.
